Exploring the Art World with a Passionate Artist

Bio
I was born and raised in Cologne, Germany. I worked as a theatre stage designer for nine years before emigrating to Andalusia, Spain, in 1995, where I live as a freelance artist ever since.
In my works, realistic impressions, memories and imagination interweave.
My paintings start with a vague idea in an abstract way, building up textures and structures – openminded to the process, following my inner images, intuition and motion. Giving architectural or landscape shapes with my brushes and palette knives. Using carefully wonderful materials like Mother of Pearl, Silith stones, metal, etc. etc.
I am fascinated by vast, inhospitable landscapes, such as abandoned places and deserts, in which human life appears unexpectedly.
However, I am also fascinated by constantly growing, uncontrolled cities – searching for the centre of life.
Throughout the entire creative process, I give but also receive back a lot of emotional energy.
These special techniques of Experimental Art open up an enormous field of creative freedom for me.
